Popular, extensive, sandy, and fully organized, many of Corfu's beaches are surrounded by large hotel complexes, seaside settlements, and villas hidden in lush greenery. These beaches are ideal for families with children and water sports enthusiasts, as well as those who enjoy seaside entertainment. For those seeking tranquility, a few secluded beaches without facilities can also be found.

Southern-Southwestern Beaches


  • Agios Georgios
    A sandy beach stretching 8 km with shallow, turquoise waters. It is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. Nearby are Marathias and Agia Barbara, both organized with facilities for water sports. From Agia Barbara, boats can take you to the small islets of Lagoudia.

  • Issos
    This beach, featured in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, has umbrellas, sun loungers, and tavernas. It’s not overly crowded.

  • Halikounas
    A paradise for wave lovers, windsurfing, and kitesurfing enthusiasts (provided you bring your equipment). Separated from a lagoon by a narrow strip of land, the beach stretches over 3 km, covered in sand and fine pebbles. A small wooden bridge leads through dunes and reeds into a forest with rare orchids and cedar trees.

  • Kavos
    Known for its vibrant nightlife, Kavos is a hotspot for young tourists, particularly British visitors, alongside Germans and Italians. The 3 km-long sandy beach offers shallow waters, sun loungers, umbrellas, water sports, and boat rentals. The area is packed with hotels, bungalows, beach bars, and nightclubs, as well as facilities like go-karting, tennis courts, and beach volleyball.

Western Beaches


  • Agios Georgios Pagon
    A bustling 2 km-long beach surrounded by cliffs and ideal for families in its shallow areas. It features restaurants, hotels, beach bars, and water sports facilities.

  • Myrtiotissa
    One of the island's most beautiful beaches with no infrastructure. Accessible by off-road vehicle, motorcycle, or a 30-minute hike from Pelekas village. Its golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and underwater world are perfect for diving. The beach was first discovered by nudists, who still visit.

  • Agios Gordios
    A large sandy beach with some pebbled areas, deep and clear waters, cliffs crowned with vegetation, and an iconic rock formation. Organized with sun loungers, umbrellas, water sports, and beachside tavernas.

  • Glyfada
    Renowned for its golden sands and surrounding wooded hills, Glyfada is easily accessible and well-equipped. It offers beach bars, cafes, and volleyball courts, with a perfect setting for sunset views.

  • Ermones
    A deep bay with a small sandy beach surrounded by lush slopes. This area is well-equipped with facilities from nearby hotels, including dive centers and restaurants.

  • Arillas
    Sandy near the water and pebbly further back, this beach is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. Taverns and boat rentals are available.

  • Paleokastritsa
    A stunning area with six coves surrounded by greenery and dramatic cliffs. The waters are crystal-clear and ideal for snorkeling. Each cove offers different vibes, with Ampelaki and Plakakia being quieter options. The Monastery of the Virgin Mary and Angelokastro are must-visit landmarks nearby.

Northern Beaches



  • Sidari - Canal d'Amour
    This unique geological formation features soft sandstone cliffs, coves, and fjords. Snorkelers will be enchanted by the underwater scenery. Sidari is fully equipped with beach bars, hotels, and water sports. Legend says that swimming through the cave at Canal d’Amour helps you find your soulmate.

  • Acharavi
    Extending from Almyros, this sandy and pebble beach offers shallow waters and various water sports.
